[We are not taking orders]

General Description

Is it spinning? Hard to tell if it is moving at all!
The stable spinning movement of this top is the essence of this classic Japanese spinning top. All you have to do is to wind the string around the spine and pull the string holding the grip-knob and placing the top very gently on the smooth surface. Voila! It's spinning, but it looks so static. HAND MADE IN JAPAN

The ingeniously talented craftsman who creates this traditional spinning top -- without any help from a blueprint -- is Masaaki Hiroi. Find out more about Masaaki Hiroi here.

General Information

Materials: Wood
Size: Width 80mm
Weight: 80g each
Production time: Ready for delivery
Proper handling: ● The dyes are not colorfast, so colors may fade if brought into contact with water. ● The top is very delicate and should be handled carefully at all times.
How to use: 1. Wind the string 15 or 16 times around the spine, being sure not to let the string become loose. 2. Ample space is needed since it will spin off to multidirectional areas (small tabletop is NOT recommended). Avoid spinning on delicate surface, it may be prone to scratches. 3. While holding the grip-knob on the top, pull the string in the horizontal direction. When the string is fully unwound, place it gently on a flat smooth surface. 4. The top will be spinning on its own.
